The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Construction Program works with partners in industry, labor, trade associations, professional organizations, and academia. The program focuses on these areas:

  • Preventing injuries and fatalities related to falls from roofs, ladders and scaffolds
  • Reducing hearing loss among construction workers
  • Reducing silicosis morbidity and mortality among construction workers
  • Promoting safety culture and climate in the construction industry
