Beth Lee is the Deputy Branch Chief for the Epidemiology Workforce Branch (EWB). As Deputy Branch Chief, Beth will be overseeing the EWB Program Support Unit and Operations functions. She will collaborate with the Branch Chief to lead EWB in achieving its mission, and in her Deputy Branch Chief role will also contribute to DSEPD’s efforts to do the same.
Beth came to the division from the Center for Global Health (CGH). Most recently, Beth was the Program Management Officer in the Division of Global Health Protection. In that role, she was responsible for the management and operations of international public health–related activities and cross-cutting policies, procedures, and guidelines. She had also served as a Public Health Analyst and Management Program Analyst in the CGH Office of the Director.
Beth has over 20 years of public health experience at CDC. She began her career at CDC in 1991 with the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. From 1994-2000 and from 2001-2006, she worked with the National Immunization Program. In the interim, Beth served as Deputy Director Office of Health Care Partnerships, Epidemiology Program Office.
Beth received a BBA from the University of West Georgia.
