Dr. Peter Kilmarx, Sierra Leone
Dr. Peter Kilmarx, Director of CDC's Zimbabwe office, served on a one-month detail to Sierra Leone to lead the CDC Ebola Response Team there. Peter’s team worked on a variety of public health activities, ranging from surveillance systems and database maintenance to infection control and patient education. Read more

Dr. Nancy Knight, Director of CDC’s South Africa office, completed a one-month detail to Nigeria, where she served as CDC Team Lead in Nigeria’s two Ebola Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), located in Lagos and Port Harcourt. Read more
