Recalled caramel apples may still be in people’s homes.
- Consumers should not eat any of these recalled commercially produced, prepackaged caramel apples:
- Happy Apples brand caramel apples
- Best use by date between August 25 and November 23, 2014
- Kroger Brand caramel apples produced by Happy Apple Company
- Best use by date between September 15 and November 18, 2014
- Consumers should be aware that some caramel apples sold under the Kroger brand are labeled as candy apples, and some are labeled as caramel apples.
- Karm’l Dapples brand caramel apples
- Best use by date between August 15 and November 28, 2014
- Merb’s Candies brand Bionic Apples and Double Dipped Apples
- Available from September 8 through November 25, 2014
- Happy Apples brand caramel apples
- Consumers should check their home for recalled products and throw them away immediately. Place them in a closed plastic bag in a sealed trash can to prevent other people or animals from eating them.
Contaminated commercially produced, prepackaged caramel apples made from Bidart Bros. apples may still be in people’s homes.
- Consumers should not eat any commercially produced, prepackaged caramel apples that were made with Bidart Bros. apples produced in 2014.
- Consumers who are buying or have recently bought commercially produced, prepackaged caramel apples can ask their retailers if the apples were made with Bidart Bros. apples produced in 2014.
- Consumers should check their home for commercially produced, prepackaged caramel apples that were made with Bidart Bros. apples produced in 2014 and throw them away immediately. Place them in a closed plastic bag in a sealed trash can to prevent other people or animals from eating them.
- Consumers who are unable to determine whether their commercially produced, prepackaged caramel apples were made with Bidart Bros. apples produced in 2014 should throw them away. Place them in a closed plastic bag in a sealed trash can to prevent other people or animals from eating them.

Advice to Retail Establishments
Retailers should not sell or serve recalled Granny Smith and Gala apples produced by Bidart Bros. in 2014, including commercially produced, prepackaged caramel apples made with the recalled Bidart Bros. apples.
