What
According to the new Vital Signs report, dental sealants prevent 80% of cavities in school-age children, particularly for the back teeth, where 9 in 10 cavities occur. About 60% of children ages 6-11 don’t get dental sealants. This Vital Signs report will provide information on what state officials, dental care providers, school administrators and parents can do to help more children get dental sealants and develop fewer cavities.
