The prevalence of complete tooth loss (edentulism) was significantly lower (p<0.05, by
t test) for adults with a family income of
>200% FPL compared with those in lower income groups. The prevalence of
edentulism decreased between 1988--1994 and 1999--2004 for those in the 100%--199% and
>200% FPL groups but not for those in the <100% FPL group.
