Things to do in Atlanta

Atlanta is the capital and most populous city in Georgia, and the ninth most populous metropolitan area in the United States. Atlanta sits in both Fulton County and DeKalb County – which is where most of the CDC facilities reside. As of 2015, the city of Atlanta had a population of approximately 464,000 and a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) of 5.5 million. The mayor of Atlanta is Kasim Reed. Nicknames for Atlanta include “Hotlanta” and “the ATL.”

Atlanta has a reputation for being a “City of Trees” and along with the city’s tree lined neighborhoods, Atlanta has many parks including:
