Presentation Types
ORAL PRESENTATION
Oral presentation abstracts will be accepted individually and combined with other presentations into sessions by the conference track co-chairs, with typically four speakers per session. Each speaker will have 10-15 minutes for their presentation, and the full sessions last 90 minutes, including time for questions and answers.
PANEL PRESENTATION
Panel presentation abstracts will be accepted as a group of relevant papers that are organized and submitted together by the abstract authors as one 90-minute session.
A limited number of these sessions will be available in the conference program. Some authors submitting panel presentation abstracts may be asked to turn these presentations into individual oral presentations.
Authors must submit a summary outlining an overview of the panel. The overview may include: A) a background statement, B) a description of the programs or studies to be discussed, C) a summary of what topics or issues will be addressed in the panel, D) the significance or importance of presenting these as a unified panel. Summaries will not be scored and do not count against a lead author’s 2-abstract maximum.
Additionally, authors must submit up to four individual abstracts that make up the panel session. All information on each speaker must be completed and accompany the abstracts.
POSTER PRESENTATION
There will be two sessions for posters during the 2015 National HIV Prevention Conference - one on Monday, December 7, 2015, and one on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. The conference organizers will determine how the posters will be grouped once all confirmations have been received. Authors will present posters on their assigned day. Information on poster size and presentation day/time will be sent to authors after abstracts have been accepted.
ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION
Roundtables provide an opportunity to facilitate active discussions on programmatic and scientific topics with a group of conference attendees. Each roundtable discussion will have one to two facilitators and will last 45 minutes. Roundtables will be highly competitive and limited in number.
