The administration of the nursing service, including the planning and responsibilities of the service, is described. Functional components of the nursing service, including treatment and care of injuries, health maintenance, rehabilitation, health counseling, health education, immunization, and activities scheduling are reviewed. Nursing records and reports systems are described and methods for coordinating nursing services with company personnel departments, safety programs and industrial hygiene programs are presented.
