Research and demonstration projects supported by grants from NIOSH were described to aid researchers, instructors and others either currently engaged in such a research relationship with the Institute or contemplating being so engaged in the future. Research was being funded in the following fields: behavioral and motivational factors; biological and environmental sampling and analysis; dermatology; epidemiology; equipment safety; ergonomics; head and body protection; instrumentation; occupational respiratory disease; physical agents; physical and chemical analysis; physiology; and toxicology and pathology. The distribution of research grants was given by state, by regions, and by program area. An index of principal investigators was provided plus an index of grantee institutions.
