This report presents information on projects conducted by NIOSH in 1991 aimed improving working conditions and worker health. The planning format for 1991 was depicted using a flow chart. Each division of NIOSH was listed along with phone numbers and a brief descriptions of the projects conducted by the division. Summaries were included of national prevention strategies for occupational lung disease, musculoskeletal injuries, occupational cancers, severe occupational traumatic injuries, occupational cardiovascular diseases, disorders of reproduction, neurotoxic disorders, noise induced hearing loss, dermatological conditions, and psychological disorders. The purpose of each NIOSH project was described, and projects were categorized by program areas. These programs areas included the subjects of the national prevention strategies previously mentioned, agriculture related projects, construction related projects, assistance requests, and administration.
