•INHALATION Blue lips or finger nails. Blue skin. Confusion. Convulsions. Dizziness. Headache. Nausea. Unconsciousness.
Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
•SKIN MAY BE ABSORBED! Blue lips or fingernails. Blue skin.
Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower.
•EYES Redness.
Face shield. or eye protection in combination with breathing protection if powder.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
•INGESTION Blue lips or fingernails. Blue skin. (See Inhalation).
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.
Rinse mouth. Induce vomiting (ONLY IN CONSCIOUS PERSONS!). Give one or two glasses of water to drink. Refer for medical attention.

Sweep spilled substance into containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting then remove to safe place. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment. (Extra personal protection: chemical protection suit including self-contained breathing apparatus).
Separated from strong oxidants, acids, acid anhydrides, acid chlorides, chloroformates and food and feedstuffs. Store in an area without drain or sewer access. Provision to contain effluent from fire extinguishing.
Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

CHEMICAL DANGERS:
The substance decomposes on burning producing toxic fumes of nitrogen oxides. The solution in water is a weak base. Reacts with acids, acid anhydrides, acid chlorides, chloroformates and strong oxidants.

ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its vapour, through the skin and by ingestion.

INHALATION RISK:
A harmful contamination of the air will be reached rather slowly on evaporation of this substance at 20°C; on spraying or dispersing, however, much faster.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The aerosol irritates the eyes. The substance may cause effects on the kidneys and blood , resulting in kidney impairment and formation of methaemoglobin. The effects may be delayed. Medical observation is indicated. See Notes.
