This is a mixture of n- and iso-paraffins, aromatic hydrocarbons and naphthenes. The contents of benzene is less than 0.1 % by volume. Depending on the raw material and the production processes, the composition and physical properties of this solvent can vary considerably. Environmental effects from the substance have not been investigated adequately. The symptoms of chemical pneumonitis do not become manifest until a few hours or even a few days have passed.
