EXPOSURE
STRICT HYGIENE!

•INHALATION Cough. Sore throat. Burning sensation. Shortness of breath. Laboured breathing.
Ventilation (not if powder).
Fresh air, rest. Half-upright position. Refer immediately for medical attention.
•SKIN Redness. Pain. Skin burns.
Protective clothing. Protective gloves.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer immediately for medical attention.
•EYES Redness. Pain. Burns .
Face shield or eye protection in combination with breathing protection if powder.
Rinse with plenty of water (remove contact lenses if easily possible). Refer immediately for medical attention.
•INGESTION Burns in mouth and throat. Burning sensation in the throat and chest. Abdominal pain.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.
Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer immediately for medical attention.

Evacuate danger area! Consult an expert! Personal protection: Chemical protection suit including self-contained breathing apparatus. Sweep spilled substance into containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment.
Separated from incompatible materials. See Chemical Dangers. Cool. Store in an area without drain or sewer access. mperature should be kept below 40°C and storage times longer than a few month should be avoided because the butynediol flakes tend to set up.

INHALATION RISK:
A harmful contamination of the air will not or will only very slowly be reached on evaporation of this substance at 20°C ; on spraying or dispersing, however, much faster.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
Corrosive. Inhalation may cause lung oedema, but only after initial corrosive effects on eyes and/or airways have become manifest. Medical observation is indicated.
