Young Worker Safety and Health
What Risk Factors Are Associated With Young Workers Experiencing Disproportionate Injuries in WRT Sectors?
A poster presented by Dr. Vern Anderson at a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA) program portfolio science symposium in October 2014 identified risk factors associated with young workers (under age 24) in the Wholesale and Retail Trade Sector. The Wholesale and Retail trades sectors employ a large percentage of young workers. The assessment data focused on demographic features and characteristics of fatal and non-fatal injuries of young WRT workers from 2003-2009.
