The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) announces recruitment of a Director for its Health Effects Laboratory Division (HELD), located in Morgantown, WV. The Institute is seeking an individual trained and experienced in the field of biomedical research to lead a division responsible for conducting advanced laboratory research in occupational health.
NIOSH’s Health Effects Laboratory Division has a multidisciplinary staff which conducts basic and applied laboratory research, looking at the causes of occupational disease and injury, and contributing to the development of valid strategies of intervention and prevention. HELD provides a body of scientific work that serves to refine hypotheses, provide standards organizations with evidence-based research for industry and labor, and help transfer technologies directly to manufacturers.
As the director of HELD, the candidate would join a senior management team at NIOSH with technical knowledge, administrative skill and organizational vision.
