April 28, 2003
April 28, 2003, has been designated Workers Memorial Day to remember men and women who have died from occupational injuries or diseases. Workers Memorial Day can serve as a reminder of the need to continue our efforts to reduce the burden of work-related injuries and illnesses. To help focus such efforts, data and research findings are important. NIOSH is committed to working with diverse partners and using the tools of science to accomplish that mission and reduce the risks of work-related injury, illness, and death.
