ORIGINAL RESEARCH — Volume 12 — February 5, 2015
This map shows 1) significant clustering of tobacco outlets and exterior tobacco advertisements, 2) census tract–level poverty data for areas with more than 25% poverty based on 5-year American Community Survey estimates for 2008 through 2012; and 3) zip code–level smoking rate data from 2012 Southeastern Pennsylvania Household Health Survey. The map shows an overlap in these 3 layers in sections of North, South, and West Philadelphia.
