- In United States, only recommended for invasive dental procedures (not routine cleanings) and invasive respiratory procedures in setting of: [2][3]
- Prosthetic valves
- Prior endocarditis
- Un-repaired congenital cyanotic heart disease
- Repaired congenital heart disease/valvulopathy with prosthetic material
