Administration

- Routes of Administration: Inhalation, intranasal, topical

Adult Dosing
- Intranasal: 2 sprays/nostril daily
- Aerosol: 88-880 mcg BID
- Powder (inhaled): 100-1000 mcg BID
- Topical application: 1-2 times daily
Pediatric Dosing
Special Populations
- Pregnancy Rating: C
- Lactation risk: Infant risk cannot be ruled out
- Renal dosing: no adjustment
- Hepatic dosing: no adjustment
Contraindications
- Allergy to class/drug
- Severe hypersensitivity to milk proteins
- Primary treatment of acute asthma exacerbation
Adverse Reactions
Serious
- Secondary hypocortisolism
- Glaucoma, elevated ICP
- Pneumonia
Common
- Oral or esophageal candidiasis
- Nausea/vomiting
- Headache
- Osteoporosis
- Cough, URI symptoms
- Epistaxis
