Administration

Adult Dosing
- Lead poisoning: 10 to 30 mg/kg/day for 5 days
Pediatric Dosing
Safety/efficacy not established in patients <12mo
- Lead poisoning, level >45 mcg/dL: 10 mg/kg or 350 mg/m(2) q8h for 5 days, then q12 h for 14 days
Special Populations
- Pregnancy Rating: C
- Lactation risk: Infant risk cannot be ruled out
- Renal dosing: administer with caution, ensure adequate hydration
- Hepatic dosing: no adjustment, monitor LFTs closely
