Activities
Engaging and communicating with the public are among ATSDR’s top priorities. ATSDR is gathering information and comments from people who have lived or worked near Coldwater Creek and is providing the community with several opportunities to learn more about the PHA process. To date, the following activities have been conducted:
St. Louis (FUSRAP) Oversight Committee Meetings
On October 27, 2015, the ATSDR PHA team met with representatives from the Oversight Committee to discuss the PHA process and listen to community concerns. The ATSDR team gave a presentation describing the PHA process, provided facts sheets, went on a brief tour of Coldwater Creek, and gathered community concerns presented by the Oversight Committee.
On February 17, 2016, ATSDR scientists participated in a community meeting led by the St. Louis Oversight Committee. The ATSDR team gave a presentation describing the PHA process, listened to concerns, and answered questions from the community.

Key Messages and Talking Points
Open House Meeting(s)
On December 2, 2015, ATSDR scientists met with residents to describe the PHA process. Community members helped ATSDR better understand ways people have been or may be exposed to site-related contaminants in the past, present, and future.
On January 26, 2016, ATSDR scientists met with residents to provide an update on the status of the PHA, discuss exposure concerns, and again describe the PHA process as presented to residents during the first Open House held on December 2, 2015.
The PHA team continues to educate the community about the PHA process and seek relevant information for the PHA.
