Colorectal Cancer Partners
National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable
CDC continues its partnership with the American Cancer Society to support the National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable, a network of public and private organizations that promote colorectal cancer awareness and screening on the national level. CDC and the American Cancer Society convened the roundtable in 1997.
National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program
CDC supports the National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (NCCCP), which integrates prevention and control activities relating to many forms of cancer, including colorectal cancer. It aims to improve community-based education and health promotion, share expertise, and address at-risk populations.
With funding from CDC, several states are implementing colorectal cancer prevention and control strategies from their comprehensive cancer control plans. These programs may serve as models for other states.
National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance
Since 2005, CDC’s Screen for Life: National Colorectal Cancer Action Campaign has collaborated with the National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance, a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, to develop posters, print ads, and television and radio public service announcements.
