The Public Health Impact of Tobacco Regulation

On Wednesday, November 18, CDC's Office of Smoking and Health presented the third session of Public Health Grand Rounds entitled “The Public Health Impact of Tobacco Product and Advertising Regulation.” This presentation focused on recent legislative successes in tobacco control efforts (including the FDA's ability to regulate the content, marketing and sales of tobacco products), while addressing the challenges that lie ahead in saving millions of lives through the reduction of tobacco use.
