Training & Technical Assistance
You can find a variety of resources on Diabetes at Work to help you better understand a specific diabetes or worksite wellness topic, build skills, and communicate important diabetes-related information. You can access a variety of worksite wellness and diabetes resources from National Diabetes Education Program, Total Worker Health, Association of Occupational Health Nurses and American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine who have allowed access to their training tools. Some of these courses provide continuing education credit.
Training Courses
Diabetes at Work: What’s Depression Got to Do with It? This training course has been developed as an additional resource for the National Diabetes Education Program’s (NDEP) Diabetes at Work Web site. Information in this course describes the association between diabetes and depression, how these two chronic illnesses can impact an employee, and the role that employers can play in assisting employees who are experiencing both conditions.
