Chart Description

The Office of the Director is supported by the Office of Policy and Partnerships, the Office of Communication, the Office of Science, the Office of Program Management and Operations, and three Divisions.

The divisions are: the Division of Unintentional Injury Prevention (DUIP), the Division of Violence Prevention (DVP), and the Division of Analysis, Research and Practice Integration (DARPI).

DUIP is made up of two branches; The Home, Recreation, and Transportation Branch—composed of the Transportation Safety Team and the Home and Recreation Team; and the Health Systems and Trauma Systems Branch—composed of the Prescription Drug Overdose Team, the Traumatic Brain Injury Team, and the Health Systems Team.

DVP is made up of three branches: the Surveillance Branch—composed of the Mortality Surveillance Team, the Morbidity and Behavioral Surveillance Team, and the Violence Against Children and Youth Team; the Research and Evaluation Branch—composed of the Youth Violence, Suicide, and Elder Maltreatment Team, the Child Maltreatment and Sexual Violence Team, and the Intimate Partner Violence and Teen Dating Violence Team; and the Prevention Practice and Translation Branch—composed of the Child Maltreatment and Sexual Violence Team, Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Violence Team, the Sexual Violence, Youth Violence, Suicide and Other Team.

DARPI is made up of two branches: the Statistics, Programming, and Economics Branch—composed of the Statistics Team, the Programming Team, the Health Economics and Policy Research Team, and the Informatics Systems and Security Team; and the Practice Integration and Evaluation Branch—composed of the Violence and Injury Prevention Team, and the Evaluation and Integration Team.
