MMWR Express

Description

The MMWR  Express mobile app provides fast access to full reports and available summaries from the MMWR  Weekly. The Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) Series is prepared by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Often called “the voice of CDC,” the MMWR  Series is the agency’s primary vehicle for scientific publication of timely, authoritative, and useful public health information and recommendations.

Reports are searchable by specific MMWR  report or by specific subject (e.g., salmonella). When launched, MMWR  Express quickly checks for and then downloads new content, ensuring that users always have the most up-to-date information. Users also can choose to be notified when new content is available, and share content with others via e-mail, text message, Facebook, or Twitter.

This application is a result of a collaboration between the Informatics Innovation Unit and MMWR  within the Division of Public Health Information Dissemination, Center for Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Laboratory Sciences.
