Type 508 Accommodation and the title of the report in the subject line of e-mail. Measles--United States, 1981 Addendum, Vol. 31, No. 4p37 In the article "Measles--United States, 1981," 16 areas were reported as having no indigenous measles in 1981. Information recently provided to CDC indicates that South Carolina should now be added to this list. Of the 2 cases reported to CDC from South Carolina for 1981, 1 was acquired outside the United States, and the other was acquired out of state. Thus, there were 17 reporting areas that had no indigenous measles transmission in 1981. Reported by RL Parker, DVM, State Epidemiologist, South Carolina State Dept of Health and Environmental Control; Immunization Div, Center for Prevention Svcs, CDC.
