World Health Day, April 7, 1990, focuses on "Our Planet, Our
Health: Think Globally, Act Locally." Cosponsors for World Health
Day are the World Health Organization, the Pan American Health
Organization, the American Association of World Health, and the
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
This issue of MMWR focuses on international health and comprises
reports on mortality in developed countries, potential
eradicability of eight diseases, World No-Tobacco Day, and an
outbreak investigation of acute dermatitis in Mexico.
