Deadline for Filing Claims for Compensation Under the National
Childhood Vaccine Injury Act
Public Law 99-660 established the National Vaccine Compensation
Program to compensate persons injured by certain childhood
vaccines. Persons injured by childhood vaccine before October
1988 have until October 1, 1990, to file claims for compensation
through this program. Details on filing a claim are available
from the Health Resources and Services Administration at a
toll-free number: (800) 338-2382.
