Conference on Health Effects of Air Pollution
A conference on the Health Effects of Air Pollution--Impact of
Clean Air Legislation will be held March 25-27, 1991, in Crystal
City, Virginia. This conference is the annual meeting of the
Society for Occupational and Environmental Health (SOEH) and is
cosponsored by the American Thoracic Society, American Petroleum
Institute, Association of State and Territorial Health Officials,
Environmental Defense Fund, Health Effects Institute,
International Society for Environmental Epidemiology, National
Institute for Environmental Health Sciences, Environmental
Protection Agency, and CDC.
The conference will examine the relationship of scientific
knowledge to the implementation of clean air legislation and will
provide new information and a forum for discussion of government
policy, public health strategies, and critical research on air
pollution. CDC encourages state health departments to send
representatives.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is November 30, 1990.
