In the article, "Cigarette Smoking Among Adults -- United
States, 1988," the third paragraph on page 758 should include two
changes. The first sentence of the paragraph should read: "Overall,
the mean number of cigarettes smoked per day by current smokers in
1988 was 20.2 (Table 2)." The last sentence of the paragraph should
read: "In 1988, 25.6% (95% CI=24.7%-26.5%) of smokers smoked 25 or
more cigarettes per day."
On page 759, Table 2 should read as follows:
