Notice to Readers
Epidemiology in Action: Intermediate Methods Course
CDC and Emory University will cosponsor a course,
"Epidemiology in Action: Intermediate Methods," during February
9-13,
1998, at CDC. The course will review the fundamentals of
descriptive epidemiology and biostatistics, analytic epidemiology,
and Epi Info software, but will focus on mid-level epidemiologic
methods directed at strengthening participants' quantitative
skills, with an emphasis on up-to-date data analysis. Topics
include advanced measures of association, normal and binomial
distributions, logistical regression, field investigations, and
summary of statistical methods. Prerequisite is an introductory
course in epidemiology, such as "Epidemiology in Action," or any
other introductory class. There is a tuition charge.
