Notice to Readers: Satellite Broadcast on HIV Prevention"The Impact of Stigma on HIV Prevention Programs," a satellite broadcast, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 25, 2001, from 1--3 p.m. eastern time. CDC and the Public Health Training Network are co-sponsoring this forum, which will focus on the impact of stigma on health and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) prevention efforts, and how public health programs may send mixed messages that contribute to stigma. Presentations and interviews will provide an update on public health resources and innovative strategies to reduce or eliminate stigmatizing attitudes. This broadcast is designed for organizations and persons who provide HIV prevention, including health departments, HIV prevention community planning groups, national and regional minority organizations, community-based organizations, and health-care providers. Viewers can fax questions and comments before and during the broadcast.
