Notice to Readers: Satellite Broadcast on HIV PreventionCDC and the Public Health Training Network will present a satellite broadcast and webcast, "Prevention with Positives: HIV Risk Reduction Strategies for Health Care Providers," on Thursday, April 29, 2004, beginning at 1 p.m., EDT. The 2-hour forum will discuss evidence-based behavioral interventions and ongoing research about HIV prevention with persons living with HIV (PLWH), describe examples of behavior interventions for PLWH in community-based organizations and clinical settings, and identify opportunities and methods for health-care providers to link PLWH to local HIV-prevention resources. A panel of experts will address viewers' questions, which can be sent via fax before, during, and after the program. Additional information and instructions for continuing education are available at http://www.cdcnpin.org/broadcast and through the CDC Fax Information System, telephone 888-232-3299, by entering document number 130039 and a return fax number. Organizations are responsible for setting up their own viewing sites and are encouraged to register their sites as soon as possible so persons who want to view the broadcast can access information online.
