Notice to Readers: Maps of National, State, and County Data Now Available on CDC WONDERTwo CDC online data-access systems, WONDER (Wide-ranging Online Data for Epidemiologic Research) and GATHER (Geographic Analysis Tool for Health and Environmental Research), have collaborated to produce maps for WONDER data-query applications. WONDER users can now create maps for each data element measured, select quantiles or set custom break-points for data groups, choose whether to display highways and rivers, add labels, and choose a color scheme. Maps are available for the following WONDER data requests:
Mapping capability will eventually be available for other data-query applications with location data elements. WONDER (available at http://wonder.cdc.gov) is an Internet system that makes CDC information resources and public health information available to public health professionals and the general public. GATHER (available at http://gis.cdc.gov/atsdr/default.asp) uses spatial analysis tools for public health applications, and is a product of CDC's Geographic Research, Analysis, and Services Program of the National Center for Environmental Health/Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry.
