CDC's National Center for Health Statistics has published
Health, United States, 2005, the 29th edition of the annual report
on the nation's health. The report includes 156 detailed
trend tables organized around four broad subject
areas: health status and determinants, health-care use, health-care resources, and health-care expenditures. Many of the trend tables provide information
on racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities in health.
The report also includes the 2005 Chartbook on Trends in the Health of
Americans, which assesses the current state of
the nation's health and how it is changing over time, both positively and negatively, by presenting trends and information
on selected determinants and measures of health status. The
Chartbook includes a special focus on persons aged 55--64 years,
a growing segment of the adult population.
