In the Surveillance Summary, "Prevalence of Four
Developmental Disabilities Among Children Aged 8
Years --- Metropolitan Atlanta Developmental Disabilities Surveillance Program, 1996 and
2000,"on page 1, in the second column, the
sentence beginning on the third line should read, "MADDSP continues to estimate the prevalence of these five disorders in
the metropolitan Atlanta area and serves as a model surveillance program for
16 other states that conduct disability
surveillance (i.e., Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Missouri/Illinois, New Jersey, North
Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Utah, West Virginia, and Wisconsin)."
On page 4, in Table 1, the ** footnote should read, "For 2000, race does not include
eight children whose race was not indicated."
