QuickStats: Percentage of Hospital Inpatients Transferred to
Long-Term--Care Facilities, by Age Group --- United States, 1990, 1995, 2000, and 2004
The percentage of hospital inpatients transferred to long-term facilities increases with
age. However, during 1990--2004, the percentage transferred increased among all age groups
except those aged >85 years. For that group, the percentage increased from 1990 to 1995 and
then leveled off.
