Historical Document

This information is provided by the National Center for Environmental Health’s Environmental Health Services Branch ONLY as an historical reference for the public health community. This information is not maintained and may no longer be current and/or accurate.

From 2001–2010, CDC funded cooperative agreements to build capacity to improve environmental health service delivery and create tools and products for other programs to use or adapt. The resulting products and tools address a range of environmental health issues for

  • delivering environmental health services,
  • improving environmental health capacity to respond to current and emerging health threats, and
  • expanding the science-base in environmental public health to improve public health practice.

In 2010, this program merged with the Environmental Health Specialists Network (EHS-Net) to support environmental health service programs in preventing foodborne and waterborne illnesses. For more information, visit the EHS-Net pages.
