National Agricultural Workers Survey (NAWS)
Hired Crop Worker Demographic Percentage Distribution Tables
The NAWS demographic data include weighted percentage distributions for characteristics of hired crop workers on US farms aged 14 years and older, regardless of worker documentation status. These demographic tables include data for sex and age of hired crop workers, education by country of origin, years of farm work, migrant or settled status, and whether hired crop workers are employed directly by a farm operator or indirectly through a labor contractor. The workforce percentage distributions are for the national level (all states are included except Alaska and Hawaii). Confidence intervals were calculated using SAS survey procedures to take into account the multi-stage sampling design.
