AGRICULTURAL SAFETY
National Agricultural Workers Survey (NAWS)
Hired Crop Worker Injury Rate Tables
The NAWS occupational injury rate data for hired crop workers 14 years and older on crop operations in the US include information for the sex, age, and years of farm work experience for the injured workers. Hired crop workers are included in the survey regardless of worker documentation status. The injury rates are for the national level (all states are included except Alaska and Hawaii). The NAWS occupational injury rates were calculated per 100 full-time week-based equivalents (100 FTEWB) (see methods). Confidence intervals were calculated using SAS survey procedures to take into account the multi-stage sampling design.
