NOISE AND HEARING LOSS PREVENTION
Industries and Occupations
Although noise exposure is widespread, there are some occupations in which noise, and hazardous noise specifically, is more common. Through the NIOSH Occupational Hearing Loss (OHL) Surveillance Program , NIOSH published estimates of the number of workers with occupational hearing loss (prevalence) for each U.S. industry and examine the risks, taking into account other factors like age and gender.
