March 10: National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is observed on March 10, to recognize the impact of HIV on women and girls. This year, Act Against AIDS featured the campaign, Doing It, to mark this important observance. Find out what you can do to help promote this important day.

National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day is an annual observance that takes place on April 10, to educate the public about the impact of HIV and AIDS on young people and to highlight the work young people are doing across the country to respond to the epidemic. Take a moment to look at our resources to help plan your activities.

April 18: National Transgender HIV Testing Day will be observed on April 18. NTHTD is a day to recognize the importance of routine HIV testing, status awareness and continued focus on HIV prevention, and treatment efforts among transgender and gender non-binary people. The initiative encourages community-based organizations, health jurisdictions, and HIV prevention programs to host local transgender HIV testing community events and/or develop trans-specific HIV testing campaign materials and resources.

• Doing It, which encourages all adults to get tested for HIV and know their status, includes images and testimonial videos featuring transgender leaders.
• Let’s Stop HIV Together, which raises awareness about HIV and fights stigma, includes the stories of transgender women.
• HIV Treatment Works, which encourages people living with HIV to stay in care, features a transgender woman’s story of staying healthy while living with HIV.
