Impact Statement
This map shows incidence rates for Alaska stomach cancer cases diagnosed 1996-2013 by public health region. While most regions have a relatively low rate, the Southwestern and Northern regions are notable exceptions, with rates of 20.0 and 29.4 per 100,000, respectively. This is many times the rate of the remaining regions’ average rate of 6.5.
