Map Details - Access to Stroke Center Hospitals in Washington State
Impact Statement
The map shows drive time to level I and level II stroke center hospitals in relation to population centers in Washington State. Stroke patients who are treated at a stroke center within 2 hours of onset of symptoms are less likely to experience adverse outcomes.

WA Department of Health Hospital Data; Navteq Street Network; WA Office of Financial Management Population Estimates.
Methods Used
We constructed 30 and 60 minute drive time service around hospital locations, and overlaid these with population distribution in WA State.
