The Get Smart: Know When Antibiotics Work program offers partners many collaborative opportunities to promote appropriate antibiotic use and prescribing at the local level. Below are examples of just a few of our partners’ activities:
- Participate in Get Smart About Antibiotics Week
- Providing educational materials to patients
- Distributing tools and guidelines to healthcare professionals
- Developing local-level appropriate antibiotic use campaigns and coalitions
- Collaborating with CDC’s Get Smart program and local-level programs on projects
- Exchanging in-kind services with CDC’s Get Smart program or local-level programs
- Providing assistance to local-level programs in producing educational materials or sponsoring events
- Delivering presentations to interested parties
- Posting social media messages
- Sharing information with their organization’s membership
- Including print materials or information in Explanation of Benefits statements
- Promoting placement of matte articles in local print media
- Including content in employee educational materials
- Distributing materials at medical conferences and exhibits
- Collaborating on research
