STOP: How to Apply for STOP Teams
Recruitment for the STOP 51 Team (with deployment beginning February 2018) will be open 1-31 May 2017. Applications submitted before or after the open application period will not be considered.

Steps to Apply
If you wish to be considered by the STOP Program, please follow the instructions below:
For STOP Alumni

For First-time STOP Applicants
- Before applying, please read the applicant instructions here PDF [42 KB].
- Please send the following information to the email address NIPSTOPteam@cdc.gov:
- A completed STOP application form
- An updated English CV in the WHO format (which can be seen in the following documents)

* A completed application and detailed CV are MANDATORY for your application to the STOP Program. If we do not receive both items, your application will not be processed.
* Candidates must already possess a passport prior to applying for the STOP Program.
* You must provide 5 professional references, 3 of which must be current or past supervisors. Please contact your references in advance to verify their correct email address. If we do not receive responses from your references, you will not be eligible for acceptance to the team.
* If you are unable to open or access the application files, please ask for assistance via email to NIPSTOPteam@cdc.gov.
Application Timeline
- Applicant CVs and applications will be reviewed by STOP Program staff in Atlanta
- Qualified candidates will be contacted by STOP Program staff for a phone interview
- Candidates who pass the interview phase will be nominated to be matched with an open position in a STOP country of assignment
- Selected applicant CVs and applications will be sent to the countries, regions and partners for review and final approval
- Candidates that are successfully matched to a country of assignment are invited to participate in STOP training
* Please note that acceptance to the STOP Program does not guarantee deployment to the field on a STOP assignment
