Ms. Laurie Beck, MPH, has served as an epidemiologist on the Transportation Safety Team within the Division of Unintentional Injury Prevention (DUIP) since 2003. Her research interests include seat belt use, safe transportation for older adults, and pedestrian safety. Prior to joining the Transportation Safety Team, she worked as a contractor for CDC’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Control, focusing on surveillance of pregnancy-related behaviors and conditions.
Ms. Beck received a bachelor of arts degree in Sociology with a focus on Health in Society from Wake Forest University and a Master of Public Health degree in Behavioral Science and Health Education from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health.
