FY 2018 President’s Budget
The President’s Fiscal Year 2018 budget request, released on May 23, 2017, outlines the administration’s priorities within the federal government and addresses critical needs across the country. This request includes an appropriation of $514 million for the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases. It includes a $12.5 million increase for vector-borne diseases. These resources would allow for enhanced capacity in laboratory, case and outbreak investigation, and vector control.
